Fee Structure

Talem is committed to helping grassroots, BIPOC-led organizations thrive in the nonprofit sector. We work closely with you to determine the best short and long-term solutions to meet you where you are and help you get to the next level. We use a sliding scale discount to determine the appropriate rate for services for BIPOC-led organizations, based on budget size.

Each fee structure is agreed upon in writing before the project is undertaken as a flat, fixed project fee or a monthly retainer.

All contracts are written for a negotiated length of time. They can be canceled with a written 30-day notice. All travel and out-of-pocket expenses are approved and billed monthly.

We do not work on a percentage, commission, or contingency basis. Learn why here.

HEALING IN SOLIDARITY CIRCLE

A series for white accomplices who are in leadership positions and ready to take on the inner work necessary to create systemic change in their places of work and other areas of influence.

While we may discuss passages from anti-racism texts we intend to move deeper focusing on actionable change within the nonprofit sector including shifting organizational culture, transferring power to communities and leaders of color, and dismantling systems of inequity. This is a sacred and protected space that will be set up as small groups of five participants who will meet once a week for four weeks.

This series provides eight hours of direct hands-on support to process your whiteness, facilitated discussions on ways you can use your spaces to create systemic change and tools for organizational change provided by nonprofit and employment law experts. We believe it is important for white leaders and traditionally white organizations to pay for the labor associated with racial equity work and invest in creating safe and equitable spaces for BIPOC workers.

VIRTUAL LEADER’S UMMAH

The virtual ummah is an online community facilitated by Rachel Branaman with special guests with nonprofit expertise. One such guest is Saadia Ahmed, Founder of Fluff and Logic, LLP, and a community and thought leader in Dallas/Fort Worth. Saadia is also a founder and adviser to numerous nonprofit and community initiatives.

The small group meets once a month for two hours to discuss key fundraising, marketing, organizational development topics, and share resources. There are plenty of opportunities to ask individual questions and troubleshoot fundraising in the time of COVID-19. Members will receive worksheets, strategies, and other documents to help navigate the fundraising landscape in the coming months.

Together we will look at topics such as:

  • Pivoting away from the banquet event model

  • Finding the most useful virtual fundraising tools like Zoom, Slack, Donorsearch, and Launchgood

  • Building donor engagement through stewardship
